Passenger port of St. Petersburg supported an International tournament in artistic gymnastics

XVII traditional contest in artistic gymnastics for prizes of the famous athlete, three-time Olympic champion Alexander Dityatin and the “Cup of Dinamo sports society” took place from 17th to 20th of May 2017, in Sports School # 3 of Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg.
 
On 19th of May representatives of Passenger port of St. Petersburg took part in the opening ceremony of international competition together with its organizers: The Committee for Physical Culture and Sport of Saint Petersburg, the Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Russia, the Artistic Gymnastics Federation of St. Petersburg and “Dinamo sports society”.
 
 
 
More than 100 young gymnasts from 14 countries took part in the contest, which is traditionally held since 2000, as well as the “Dinamo” National team and the team of St. Petersburg.
 
This event has gained the class of official International tournament, which is included in the calendar of the International Federation of Gymnastics and the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation since 2004.
 
 
 
Aleksandr Dityatin is a three-time Olympic champion, and Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR. Winning eight medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics, he set the record for achieving the most medals of any type at a single Olympic Games. Dityatin also holds the all-time Olympic record for most individual medals at a single Games, at seven. Dityatin competed for the Leningrad Dinamo sports society. In 2004, Dityatin was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
 
It is worth noting that "PP SPb MF" PLC is actively engaged in the organization of numerous educational, social and sports youth projects.
