The first winter shipping season was launched on December 30th at the new Marine Passenger Terminal. Approximately 2,000 tourists embarked on a Four Baltic Capitals cruise on board of the ferry Victoria I. The next day, New Year’s Eve, another
ship departed: the Silja Festival. All ferries made 3 stops enroute. For the first time, the new passenger port received and dispatched tourists from right across Russia. During the summer shipping period the port was mainly operating as a transit destination for foreign passengers. Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Port Marine Facade served more than 9,000 passengers, all of whom had the opportunity to travel the route St Petersburg - Helsinki - Stockholm - Tallinn before returning to St Petersburg in one trip.
