According to the plan, the new berth complex includes one passenger terminal with a total area of 4,000 sq.m and 4 berths 1.6 km long. After the construction of two berths is completed, the cruise port will be able to receive the largest cruise ships and up to 1,000,000 passengers a year.
At the opening ceremony on November 17, 2019, the first vessel Costa neoRomantica was moored to the terminal's berths.
New infrastructure opportunities, as well as measures of state support will allow Guangzhou in the near future to become one of the leaders in the Asian cruise market.
