Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg is the first and only specialized passenger port in the North-West of Russia and also the largest one in the Baltic region. The Port is located on the reclaimed territories of Vasilievsky Island. The port complex includes seven berths with a total length of 2,212 meters, three cruise terminals and one combined cruise-ferry terminal. Passenger port of Saint Petersburg can receive cruise ships of up to 340 meters in length.
Construction of a new port in Nevskaya Guba began in 2005, and already in September 2008 the Port received its first ship with passengers on board. The port construction project was realized through public-private partnership in accordance with the Law of St. Petersburg. "Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade" PLC is the only marine terminal operator at the Port.
On 27th of May 2011, after construction was complete and the facility was commissioned, all shares of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade” PLC were transferred to the city of Saint Petersburg.
In 2018, the property complex of the Sea Station "Morskoy Vokzal" was handed in trust to PP SPb MF, PLC. The decision was made jointly with the Transport Committee at the Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg on September 9, 2017.
The station building was erected in 1973-1983 according to the project of the architect V.A. Sokhin. Commissioned in 1988. The walls of the station were lined with volumetric panels in the form of sails. The 78-meter titanium spire ended with a ship. Initially, the building was constructed for the Baltic Shipping Company and at the same time served as a station for the guests arriving by sea and an inter-cruise base for the sailors of shipping companies. Ships from Germany, Finland and Sweden arrived at the Sea Station. The building of the Sea Station was erected using the then most modern technologies and got a State Prize for the original architectural solution. The building was built as a hotel for sailors. However, by the decision of the City Administration, it was reprofiled during the construction.
Currently, the Sea Station property complex includes six berths, place for border and customs inspection, business center, and souvenir shops.
"Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade" PLC is an active participant of the global cruise market and appears regularly at international cruise industry events and exhibitions. The Port is a member of Association of Commercial Seaports, CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association), Cruise Industry Members Association, Cruise Europe, Association of Marine Tourism Enterprises.
