«PP of SPb MF» PLC has received the first large-capacity trawler of a new generation at its berth

th, the flag-raising ceremony was held on the large-capacity trawler-processor Barentsevo sea, moored to the berths of the English Embankment in the center.
In the ceremony aboard the ship took part the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation - Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries Ilya Shestakov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management Sergei Mitin, the Norwegian Consulate General in St. Petersburg Dag Malmer Halvorsen, representatives of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Vyborg shipyard, the Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet company and Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg.
«This is a modern fishing vessel built at a domestic shipyard. Petersburg enterprises participated in new trawler equipping. With the support of the country's government 10 ships of the same class are now being built at the city's shipyards», said the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.
After the flag-raising ceremony the Director General of «Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC Vadim Kashirin traditionally presented the welcoming plaque to the Barentsevo sea trawler’s captain Igor Trunin.
The trawler-processor Barentsevo sea is first-in-class ship of four processors being built at the Vyborg shipyard under the investment quotas program for the Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet company. The vessel is equipped with the trawl systemof latest generation and a factory that allows treat the catch directly aboard.
At first the trawler will conduct fishing trials in the Barents Sea and then start full-scale fishing in the Northern fishery waters.
