On the day of 72nd anniversary of the complete relief of the Siege of Leningrad representatives of Passenger port of St. Petersburg took part in the solemn funeral ceremony at the memorial cemetery "Island of the Decembrists."

January 27th - Day of the complete relief of the Nazi siege of Leningrad and the memory of heroism, courage and perseverance of residents of the besieged city.
On this day we express our respect to the defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, to all those who in this difficult period, which lasted nearly 900 days, showed incredible courage and self-sacrifice, keeping the city for future generations.
We pay tribute and gratefully admire the feat of heroes.
In memory of the victims of the blockade at the Smolensk Orthodox cemetery a ceremony was held which was attended by veterans of World War II, representatives of the Administration of Vasileostrovsky district and "PP of SPb MF" PLC. Participants of the procession laid flowers to the Central Obelisk and to the monument of children victims of the Siege of Leningrad.
