The “PP of SPb MF” PLC representatives participated at the meeting with the Minister for Tourism of China

On June 10th in St. Petersburg the “PP of SPb MF” PLC representatives invited by the Committee on Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg participated at the meeting with the head of the China National Tourism Administration Mr. Li Tszintszao.
The parties discussed the development of relationships and highlighted the growth of numbers of tourists coming to St. Petersburg from China. According to the 2015 year statistic 51 458 tourists from Chine visited St. Petersburg which is 77% more than in previous year.
Since the 2008 passenger traffic from Chine to the “Northern capital” has increased more than 15 times.
Also the participants discussed the substantial potential for growth of the number of Chinese tourists who begin or finish cruises on the Baltic Sea in St Petersburg. Currently the part of Chinese tourists in total passenger traffic of Passenger Port of St. Petersburg is about 3% and it is increasing every year.
For the development of the cooperation with the representatives of the Chinese community in St. Petersburg and abroad in 2015, the "PP of SPb MF" PLC signed the agreement with the Chinese business center. The agreement is aimed to the promotion of marine tourism possibilities in St. Petersburg for Chinese tourists.
