21.06.2016 Passenger port of St. Petersburg receives the maximum number of ships

Today, on June 21st, Passenger port of St. Petersburg for the first time in cruise season 2016 has received 7 cruise ships. The vessels have brought more than 10 000 passengers aboard.
7 ships: Regal Princess (Princess Cruises), Serenade of the Seas (Royal Caribbean Cruise Line), Seabourn Quest (Seabourn Cruise Line), Nautica (Oceania Cruises), Costa Luminosa (Costa Cruises) and Astoria (Cruise & Maritime Voyages) are berthed at the Port at the same time. For Astoria it is inaugural call at Passenger port of St. Petersburg.
Traditionally the plaque ceremony was hold aboard a ship.
Astoria was launched in 1948. During its more than a half century history the ship was reconstructed multiple times, for the last time in 2005. She has 8 decks, 160 meters length, 465 cabins and capacity of carrying 550 passengers on board.Astoria forms a part of Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet. The cruise company also operates Magellan and Marco Polo that regularly embark in the Port.
On September 1st Passenger port of Saint Petersburg will again receive 7 cruise ships at once, reaching full berth occupancy.
