From 22nd to 28th of May Passenger port of St. Petersburg has received 9 cruise ships which brought 17 475 passengers. The total berth time of the ships is 13 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 87 872.
Services provided to ships:
Fresh water bunkering – 2 966 m3
Garbage collection – 57 m3
Waste-waters reception – 2 304 m3
In the indicated period 1 helicopter has used the helipad of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.
On 22nd of May, cruise ship Mein Schiff 3 operated by TUI Cruises has made its maiden call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. Mein Schiff 3, the third vessel in “premium” class, was built in 2014. It has 15 decks, 1253 cabins, 293 m length and capacity of carrying 2506 passengers on board. The crew is more than 1000 persons. Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel. During the 2017 cruise season Mein Schiff 3 will make 6 calls to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
On 24th of May, during the business meeting Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. managing director of global tour operations Roberta Jacoby visited Passenger Port of St. Petersburg. The official meeting was devoted to discussion of possible methods for increasing the efficiency of passenger operations in the Port in conditions of enhanced transport security measures. The parties expressed their confidence that the joint work would further improve the quality of passenger operations.
On 24th May, 2017 at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" PLC the following decisions were taken: The Chairman of the Board of Directors was elected Andrey Mushkarev - the Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee of Tourism Development; Secretary of the Board of Directors - Alexey Kashuntsov, the Head of Legal Department of “Passenger port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC; During the meeting a report on implementation of the Company's budget for 2016 was approved and current issues of Passenger Port St. Petersburg activity were considered. As part of the event, there was an introductory tour conducted around the cruise ship Serenade of the Seas for the Board of Directors’ members. Serenade of the Seas has started calling to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg from 2015, and during the 2017 cruise season it will make 11 calls.
On 25th of May, a press-conference devoted to the new vessel’s capabilities as well as to the current issues of marine tourism in St. Petersburg was held onboard the ferry "Princess Anastasia". As part of the event, the prospects for the ferry navigation development in Russian marine capital were discussed as well as the implementation of projects that were aimed at increasing the number of ferry tourists in St. Petersburg. It should be noted that from June 28th to July 2nd 2017 calls of Princess Anastasia will be shifted to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg due to Saint-Petersburg International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS 2017).
On 28th of May, cruise ship Thomson Celebration operated by Thomson Cruises has made its inaugural call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. Thomson Celebration was built in 1984, refurbished in 2014. It has 10 decks, 632 cabins, 215 m length and capacity of carrying 1264 passengers on board. The crew is more than 500 persons. Cruises on Thomson Celebration are of interest to those who wants quiet and exquisite holiday. Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel. During the 2017 cruise season Thomson Celebration will make 5 calls to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
