Passenger port of St. Petersburg is represented at SPIEF-2017

An interactive maquette of Passenger Port of St. Petersburg became one of the central exposition models at the city's stand during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2017), which takes place from 1
st to 3
rd of June.
Within the framework of international business event, the Governor of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenkonko has visited the city's exposition area, where a promising investment project envisaged by the long-term development plan for Russia's largest specialized Passenger Port St. Petersburg was presented.
Port’s management represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC Andrey Mushkarev and the general director Vadim Kashirin demonstrated to the Governor the Passenger port of St. Petersburg's functioning infrastructure, which includes such central elements of the Port as: seven berths, shore networks, four terminals, a ferry complex, checkpoint on the State Border of the Russian Federation and etc.
During the presentation, the management of the Port also told the Governor about the development prospects for the adjacent port territories and major investment projects, such as a construction of remote mooring dolphins, equipping of a cargo/passenger terminal, an establishment of a sports complex and development of a street-road network in the adjacent territory.
President Vladimir Putin's plenipotentiary envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Nikolay Tsukanov and the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly and the current President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov also have visited the maquette of the Port.
As part of the SPIEF-2017, representatives of Passenger port of St. Petersburg took part in the event’s business programme, attending the plenary session with the speech of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, as well as a number of panel sessions, in particular: on the development of domestic and inbound tourism in Russia and the sports economy in the run-up to the 2018 World Cup.
This year the forum hosts a record number of participants - about 12 thousand people and 250 largest international companies.
