First ferry during cruise season 2017 called Passenger Port of St. Petersburg

Today, on June 29th, ferry Princess Anastasia (MOBY SPL) called the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg for the first time during the 2017 cruise season.
Princess Anastasia is a modern passenger ferry with a total passenger capacity of 2 500 seats. On board, there are 834 cabins and a car deck for 580 cars. Princess Anastasia was built in 1986 at Turku Werft, Finland, by Rederi AB Slite (part of Viking Line).
In 2010 the vessel was transferred to St. Peter Line.
The company MOBY SPL LIMITED is an european ferry operators in St. Petersburg, which was founded in autumn 2016 as a result of synergy of two brands (ST. PETER LINE and the largest Italian ferry operator Moby Lines). As a result of a planned renovation that lasted 3 months the vessel’s facility and design were modernized. A group of designers led by Ricardo Guasco, a world famous Italian artist, who successfully cooperates with such famous brands as New Yorker, Diesel, Longines, L`Espresso, Vogue, worked on creating a new ship look.
On April 2nd, the renewed ferry returned to Saint-Petersburg and began regular cruises on the following routes: St. Petersburg-Helsinki - Tallinn - Stockholm - Helsinki - St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg - Helsinki - St. Petersburg. «PP SPb MF» PLC has been cooperating with the ferry line since 2010 – its foundation. During 7 years ferries made more than 200 calls at the Port.
During cruise season 2017 the ferry makes 2 calls at the Port. It should be noted that after reconstruction of the checkpoint, the Port will be able to receive ferries with ro-ro aboard on a year-round basis.
