From 17th to 23rd of July Passenger port of St. Petersburg has received 16 cruise ships which brought 34 300 passengers. The total berth time of the ships is 30 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 132 035.
Services provided to ships:
Fresh water bunkering – 3 883 m3
Garbage collection – 384 m3
Waste-waters reception – 3 094 m3
In the indicated period 1 helicopter has used the helipad of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.
On July 17th, a festive welcome of the legendary four-masted barque "Sedov" took place at Passenger port of St. Petersburg. The training sailing boat set out to the Baltic Sea from the port of Svetly in the Kaliningrad region on June 18th along with 114 cadets from various maritime educational institutions. In accordance with the maritime tradition the general director of “PP of SPb MF” PLC Vadim Kashirin has handed to the captain of the sailing vessel "Sedov" Victor Nikolin a memorable plaquette in honor of the first vessel call to the Port.
On July 21st a cruise ship Pacific Princess (Princess Cruises) made its inaugural call to Passenger port of St. Petersburg. Pacific Princess was built in 1999, refurbished in June 2017. It has 11 decks, 338 cabins, 181 m length and capacity of carrying 688 passengers on board. Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel.
On July 21st “PP SPb MF” PLC representatives as a part of St. Petersburg delegation headed by St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko paid an official visit to the sister city of St. Petersburg Turku (Finland). During the visit, the delegation met with the Mayor of Turku Alexi Randell and representatives of the city’s organizations, during which a Memorandum of Understanding Between Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC and Port of Turku Ltd was signed.
