Today, May 27, on the Day of the City of St. Petersburg, Costa Favolosa has visited Passenger port of Saint-Petersburg for the first time. Over 5,000 people have arrived aboard the ship, including the crew.
Costa Favolosa belongs to the largest cruise company Carnival Corporation & plc and has come to St. Petersburg during its first Baltic Sea cruise in 2015. The 8 day journey also includes Copenhagen, Rostock, Stockholm and Tallinn.
Costa Favolosa is a sister ship of Costa Pacifica, which calls Passenger port of Saint Petersburg regularly. The 13 deck Costa Favolosa was launched in 2011. The ship is 290 meters long, fits 3,780 passengers and has a cruising speed of 22 knots.
During the 2015 cruise season 5 calls of Costa Favolosa and 7 calls of its sister ship Costa Pacifica are planned.
The ships Costa Luminosa, Prinsendam, Serenade of the Seas and Viking Star are also at the Port today.
