Cruise ship “Ocean Dream” has called Passenger port of St. Petersburg within a special project Peace Boat.

Today, May 31st, during the 87th Global Voyage for Peace St. Petersburg visited the ship «Ocean Dream» belonging to Japan Grace cruise company.Voyage is organized by the Japanese non-governmental organization «Peace Boat», the main objectives of which is to strengthen international cooperation in the struggle for peace, human rights and environmental protection.

The ship «Ocean Dream» left the port of Yokohama, Japan, 12th April, 2015 and has already visited a peacekeeping mission in 14 cities in the world, in St. Petersburg she will stay one day. This year the voyage of so-called "Peace Boat" is dedicated to the memory of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Passengers of the ship are travelling around the world and calling for nuclear abolition and warn against a repetition of the tragedy. The delegation of "Peace Boat" will visit Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery, where planned a wreath-laying ceremony at the "Eternal Flame" and visiting of  the monument "Peace Bell", handed to St. Petersburg from the residents of the city of Nagasaki in 1988 as a tribute to the courage of the people survived during the Blockade.

Earlier, the ship «Ocean Dream» has visited St. Petersburg 18th May, 2013 during the 79th Global Voyage for Peace.
