Today, 7th June, 2015, MV Britannia called Passenger port of St. Petersburg for the first time. On board the ship arrived more than 5 000 people, including crew.

Britannia - the largest ship of the cruise line P & O Cruises (subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc). It was launched on March 10, 2015 and refers to vessels of Royal Class, which also includes ships Royal Princess and Regal Princess. She was christened March 11th, 2015 by Her Majesty Elizabeth II. The length of the vessel Britannia is 330 meters, capacity - 3600 passengers, cruising speed - 22 knots.

It is noteworthy that the ship Britannia has the same name with the transatlantic liner Britannia, owned by the cruise line Cunard Line in the XIX century and the famous yacht of Queen Elizabeth II, decommissioned in 1997 after 40 years of service to Her Majesty, and turned into a museum. Board of the ship Britannia adorns the 94-meter Union Flag - the largest in the world. In addition, on board placed a multi-million art collection. It includes more than 6,000 works, including paintings, sculptures and ceramics.

Britannia came from Southampton on 30th May and during its first cruise on the Baltic Sea visited a number of ports, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, in St. Petersburg she will stay for two days and then will go to Helsinki.
