The concluding event of the project for motivating Vasileostrovskiy district residents to deliver hazardous waste (batteries) was held in Opochininskiy garden on April 23, on the Day of the city improvement. During the campaign more than 1600 kilos of batteries has been collected that becomes a new record for such events held in St. Petersburg.
The words of welcome to participants were expressed by the Head of the Administration of Vasileostrovskiy district Yulia Kiseleva, Head of the sector at the Committee of Environmental Protection and Safety Dmitry Krutoy and Deputy prosecutor of Vasileostrovskiy district Olga Ulanova.
The representative of "PP SPb "MF" PLC welcomed the organizers and participants of the event and presented the prizes to the winners of a competition on biggest number of delivered hazardous waste.
