Today, on July 1st, cruise ship Sea Princess operated by Princess Cruises made its Inaugural call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
Sea Princess a Sun-class ship was built in 1998. Sun-class is also represented by Dawn Princess, Oceana and Sun Princess.
In the beginning the ship was built by Princess Cruises, but in 2003 was transferred to P&O Cruises and got a new name – Adonia. On May 21st, 2003, The Princess Royal Anna christened the ships Adonia and Arcadia in the first double ship naming ceremony ever. In 2005 the vessel was transferred back to Princess Cruises, taking her old name once more, and reconstructed.
She has 15 decks, 1007 cabins, 261 meters length and capacity of carrying 2016 passengers on board.
The ship offers its passengers activities and attractions: open swimming pools, sport courts, SPA, restaurants, bars, night clubs and promenade decks.
Princess Cruises offers tours around the world calling at more than 300 ports. Now the company operates 17 ships. Next spring a new ship is expected. It will become the first vessel tailored specifically for Chinese guests incorporating a unique blend of international and Chinese features.
After Passenger port of St. Petersburg Sea Princess will move to Tallinn, sailing global cruise.
During the 2016 cruise season Sea Princess make the only call to the Port.
