Today, on July 1st, cruise ship Sea Cloud II operated by Sea Cloud Cruises made its inaugural call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
Sea Cloud II is three-masted barque built in 2001. Sea Cloud II was christened on 6 February 2001 in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. The godmother was popular German TV star Sabine Christiansen.
The ship was constructed on the same design of the legendary windjammer of 1931-year Sea Cloud
Ship has length 117 meters, 47 cabins and capacity of carrying 2650 passengers on board.
Sea Cloud II is equipped with the most up-to-date navigation systems and safety features.
Sea Cloud Cruises offers its clients to make the exclusive tours on two windjammers - Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II.
The company keeps its tradition and style – the Art of Sailing. For Sea Cloud Cruises 2016 will be a year of celebration. Its two windjammers reach a collective age of 100.
During the 2016 cruise season Sea Cloud II makes 1 call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.
Tomorrow, July, 2nd, Passenger port of Saint Petersburg will operate as turnaround port. It will be the starting point of Sea Cloud II cruise around the Baltic region. For the first time the Port will handle the embarkment and dis disembarkment of passengers.
To make the transit Passenger port of St. Petersburg a turnaround port is strategic objective that will lead to a new tourist product in demand of cruise lines.
