Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg took part in the meeting of the Standing Committee for Sea Cruise and Ferry Tourism of the Marine Board of Saint Petersburg Government

On August 13, 2018, representatives of PP SPb MF PLC took part in the meeting of the Standing Committee for Sea Cruise and Ferry Tourism of Sea and River Tourism department of the Marine Board of Saint Petersburg Government. CEO of PP SPb MF PLC, Vadim Kashirin, who has managed the Committee since 2018, made a welcome speech and called on the participants to tell their opinion on urgent issues in the agenda and continue the meaningful dialogue with government authorities within the Marine Board.
Representatives of PP SPb MF PLC reported on the progress of execution of major infrastructure projects of Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg, and also announced promising development projects, including a number of initiatives regarding the change of applicable law to establish a set of benefits for cruise and ferry tourists coming to Russia and Saint Petersburg. Among other things, issues of establishing a marine passenger shipping company in Saint Petersburg have been discussed, as well as the opportunity to extend 72-hour visa-free regime for cruise tourists and facilitate baggage transit scheme for the tourists coming through the airport to cruise vessels.
As a result of the meeting, members of the Committee expressed unanimous support for PP SPb MF, PLC in the implementation of all presented initiatives. Specific solutions for the implementation of initiatives were reflected in the meeting decisions.
