Passenger Port of St. Petersburg invites you to the “Zimafest” fair 2019!

St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development together with the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Facade”, JSC invites citizens and guests of the Northern capital of Russia to actively spend their January holidays at the traditional New Year "ZimaFest" fair that will take place on the territory of the Port from 2 to 7 of January 2019, with opening hours from 12:00 to 22:00.
On the Program:
- 2 skating rinks: for skating and hockey, skate hire;
- all-season slide (absence of snow is not an obstacle);
- workshops (making of post-cards, toys, painting of Christmas decorations, etc.);
- Zimafest-cafe;
- Kid’s zone;
- table soccer; aero-hockey;
- show program;
- music program;
- special day for extreme lovers (Riders Cup) – January 6, 2019;
- fire-show, the festive fireworks.
Ded Moroz and Snegurochka accompanied by fairy-tale characters will create magic atmosphere for the youngest visitors. New Year photo shoots, Christmas market with festive goods and thematic areas.
All-season slide (bring along inflated snow tubes or hire them at the fair) and the largest open skating rink will be open during the whole festival. And all of this accompanied by the picturesque view over the Gulf of Finland and surroundings.
January 6, 2019 is a special day for extreme lovers (Riders Cup). An alternative lesson with the performances of the real athletes, members of the national team of Russia in speed skating, will take place on that day. The lesson will be held with the participation of the Russian Ice Cross Downhill Federation. As part of the lesson, athletes will talk about the features of the sport, the difference in training skaters and hockey players, the prospects of becoming of this or that kind of sport an Olympic sport discipline, will show the most spectacular moments of the world Championships in downhill.
After the open lesson, all the guests of "Zimafest" will be able to try their hand on the ice and take part in the open training of Riders Cup athletes on a specially prepared track with various elements (obstacles, fences, boxes, etc.).
The "Zimafest" will end with fireworks, which will be organized by the Committee for tourism development of St. Petersburg on January 7, 2019. It’s worth saying that on January 7 and 8 all citizens and guests of the city can enjoy a bright event-the "Christmas star" fire festival organized by the Committee for tourism development. Fireworks, 3D-videos, fire and light performances will once again impress the imagination of the citizens and guests of the Northern capital of Russia. For the audience’s convenience the pyrotechnic projectiles will be launched from different parts of the city. In between the discharges a spectacular program with fascinating performances of fire theaterы will be demonstrated on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island.
A special free shuttle will go betweeen the event location and the Primorskaya metro station for all comers during the Zimafest Fair. Once can also get to the event location by bus No 158, which will work in enhanced mode during the holiday, and, of course, by private transport. Free parking of the Port of Saint Petersburg will be provided for those who arrive in a car.
