Representatives of PP SPb MF, PLC took part in the St. Petersburg Maritime Forum

Representatives of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg made a report at the Marine Forum 2019, which was held on April 18 at the State University of Maritime and River Fleet named after Admiral Makarov with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Maritime Arbitration Committee.
The Maritime Forum was attended by representatives of Russian and foreign companies: sea carriers, ports, logisticians, shipbuilders, as well as specialized state institutions, experts, arbitrators and marine lawyers. A significant event in the framework of the Marine Forum 2019 was the grand opening of the Maritime Arbitration Committee office under the RF CCI in St. Petersburg.

     

Commercial Director of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg A. E. Panfilov made a report on the demand for the cruise market of the Baltic Region, on the main development trends, as well as on the projects implemented by the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg in order to facilitate the attractiveness for cruise lines and increase the flow of cruise tourists. Calls of large-dimension vessels was marked among the important trends. Due to the ever-increasing size of cruise liners, the Port’s passenger traffic and the number of called ships over 300 metres long are steadily growing, which indicates the high popularity of the region among foreign tourists. One of the promising fields of the Port’s activities is cruises from St. Petersburg in the low season, which will also increase the capacity utilization and Port efficiency.
