Kick-off meeting Project KS1437 Reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg

On April 17, in the Passenger port of Saint Petersburg, kick-off meeting Project KS1437 Reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg was held.

     

On February 21, 2019, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg «Marine Façade», PLC signed a Grant Agreement with the Managing Authority of the South-East Finland – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014 – 2020 (hereinafter, the Programme) to implement the project for the Reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg (the Project).
The Government of the Russian Federation ratified the agreement on financing and implementation of the Programme on 03.08.2018 (No. 285-FZ). As part of the Programme implementation, a kick-off meeting was organized for presentation of the Project, during which the port management introduced the project partners, outlined the goals, intended results, and announced a list of further activities aimed at the Programme implementation.

     


The event was attended by representatives of the Managing Authority of the Programme, the city administration of Kotka and the port of HaminaKotka, the federal executive authorities that carry out control and supervisory procedures in the seaport, the state executive authorities of St. Petersburg, partners and leaders of the St. Petersburg sea ferry transportation market.
 
As a result of the kick-off meeting, the Project Coordination Group was formed, which includes:
- representatives of the Management Authority of the South-East Finland – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014 – 2020 (as the Project Observer)
- representatives of PP SPb MF, PLC (as the Lead Partner of the Project)
- representatives of port of HaminaKotka (as the Partner of the Project)
- representatives of the Kotka city administration (by agreement)
- representatives of the Transport Committee, External Relations Committee of St. Petersburg
- representatives of the St. Petersburg branch of FSI “Rosgranstroy”
- representatives of  FSU “Administration of Sea Ports of the Baltic Sea”
- representatives of the North-Western Basin Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport”
- representatives of Border Office of FSS of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg and
the Leningrad Region
- representatives of the Baltic Customs Office
- representatives of Border Office of FSS of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg and
the Leningrad Region
- representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the city of St. Petersburg
- representatives of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Pskov regions

     

During the seminar, the principles of work organization were agreed, as well as the list of participants of the Project Steering Group for the first meeting within the framework of the business program of the International Innovative Forum of Public Transport SmartTRANSPORT was determined scheduled on June 19-21, 2019. The Coordination Group task is to assist in the implementation and promotion of the Project.
