On June 4, 2019, for the first time ever, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg was visited by the AIDAprima cruise ship owned by AIDA Cruises. The passenger capacity of the vessel is 3,400 passengers, length – 300 m, number of decks – 18. The new ship has a large number of areas for food, including 13 restaurants and 18 bars. The most remarkable feature of the newest ship is the all-season Beach Club with a special transparent UV coating, where all day guests can relax in the beach atmosphere under palm trees, while in the evening see a colorful laser show and projections of the virtual starry sky.
According to the old tradition, the plaque exchange ceremony was held on the board between the representatives of the Port and Kurc Przemyslaw, Captain.
AIDAprima can be operated with liquefied natural gas, as well as ship diesel or fuel oil.
