Nieuw Statendam Cruise Ship in the Passenger Port for the First Time

On May 18, 2019, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg was visited by the Nieuw Statendam cruise ship (Pinnacle class) designed by Holland America Line and being the ship of the same class with Koningsdam. The vessel has the capacity of 2,666 guests, while its length is 297 meters. The design of Nieuw Statendam is inspired by the smooth curves of musical instruments. The refined interior is designed by Bjorn Storbraathen, legendary shipbuilding architect, and Adam Tihany, famous hotel interior designer.
According to the old tradition, the plaque exchange ceremony was held on the board between the representatives of the Port and Sybe De Boer, Captain.
