The First Call of the Explorer of the Seas Cruise Liner at the Passenger Port

On June 29, 2019, Explorer of the Seas, a ship of the Royal Carribean cruise line, called for the first time at the Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg. The ship’s passenger capacity is 3,732 passengers; its length is 311 m; it has 15 decks. Explorer of the Seas is designed for a family vacation with children, as it has not only children’s centers that accept children from 3 to 12 years old but also special family cabins with connecting doors. The main feature of this ship is the variety of outdoor activities. Here, the passengers can enjoy the services of an ice rink, a climbing wall, a rollerdrome, the children’s Adventure Ocean game club, and the Adventure Beach area that is designed specially for families with children. Another feature of the Explorer of the Seas’ entertainment infrastructure is the FlowRider surf simulator located in the open air in the aft.
By tradition, the liner hosted a plaque exchange ceremony between the Passenger Port representatives and the master of the ship Kjetil Gjerstad.
