On reconstruction of the State Border Checkpoint

On February 29th, 2016 in compliance with the reclassification and reconstruction of the border checkpoint at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg a notice of tender for development of design and working documentation for construction and reconstruction of the objects of the border checkpoint at the portwas published on the website of the Unified Information System procurement.

Reconstruction activities are conducted by the marine terminal operator “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC in accordance with the Russian Federation Government Decree number # 413-p dd. 13/03/2015 “On reclassification of the Russian Federation state border checkpoint at the “Passenger port of Saint Petersburg” seaport by type of international communication from passenger to freight and passenger” and the order of Rosgranitsa dd. 28/12/2015 # 337-ОД “On the reconstruction of the marine freight and passenger multilateral checkpoint at the state border of the Russian Federation in the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg”.

During this year it is planned to develop the project documentation, receive an approval from Russian State Expretise and begin  construction and installation works for reconstruction of the infrastructure of the border checkpoint.

Commissioning of the reconstructed objects of the border checkpoint is scheduled in the I quarter of 2017. As noted earlier freight and passenger ferry service in the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg will be organized on a regular basis after the commissioning of the first stage of Western High-Speed Diameter and the completion of a set of measures for the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the border checkpoint.
