On the 16th of March 2016 representatives of "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Facade" PLC participated in a meeting with the mayor of Kotka and representatives of port of Hamina – Kotka Oy, during which the parties exchanged views on the development of the cooperation agreement.
Representatives of "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Facade" PLC informed Finnish side about the current status of the project on reconstruction of the border checkpoint - a competition for the selection of a contractor has begun, the results of which will be known in late March.
Also during the meeting the representatives of Kotka provided more detailed information about the initiative, which they have addressed to the Government of the Republic of Finland, on the 72-hour visa-free stay of residents of St. Petersburg in the city of Kotka.
Agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the parties in the Passenger port of St. Petersburg in June 2016.
