PP SPb MF, PLC representatives took part in International Seminar on Cruise Navigation in Kaliningrad

Seminar on the development of cruise navigation in the Baltic and North Sea was held in Kaliningrad on August 29-30 as part of international project Green Cruise Port.
International project Green Cruise Port is being implemented as part of the EU Cross-border coordination “Interreg. The Baltic Sea region” 2016-2019. Green Cruise Port project is aimed at the establishment of integrated strategy for the sustained development of cruise navigation in the Baltic region, including introduction of new information technologies, offering accessible environment during design and construction of cruise terminals.
Representatives of cruise sea ports of Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and the Russian Federation, as well as representative of the major cruise operators and associations in cruise navigation took part in the seminar.
Nadezhda Kalashnik, Deputy Director for Economics and Finance of North-Western Basin Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosmorport” made a welcome speech at the opening of seminar.
Aleksei Panfilov, Finance Director of PP SPb MF, PLC informed the seminar participants on the implementation of construction project for Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg, summarized production activities for 10 years and told about the Port development plans.
The key topics for discussion were the environmental aspects during the construction of new cruise terminals and issues of terminal management at early stages.
As part of seminar, participants visited construction site of the international terminal receiving cruise and cargo-and-passenger vessels in Kaliningrad Sea Port near Pionersky town. Now this is a major infrastructure project in Kaliningrad region being implemented by North-Western Basin Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosmorport”. Deputy Director of North-Western Basin Branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosmorport”, Head of Kaliningrad administration, Andrey Moshkov, demonstrated capabilities of marine and ground port infrastructure of Kaliningrad region for the development of cruise navigation and improvement of touristic attraction of the region in the course of welcome tour around Kaliningrad Sea Port.
