The launch of Russia-EU cross-border cooperation programs was held At the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

On May 28th, 2019 at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation during the session on the coverage of the activities of Russia-EU cross-border cooperation programs “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC made a presentation of the project - reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg (Multipass Port KS1437).
The seminar-presentation was held by the Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachyov and EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer. From St. Petersburg in the event took part a member of the Government of St. Petersburg - the representative of the Governor in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Yuri Shesterikov and the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg Evgeny Grigoriev.
For the purpose of demonstration of St. Petersburg practical activities in implementation of the cross-border cooperation program the representative of “PP of SPb MF” PLC took part in session and presented the project of reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger port of Saint Petersburg (Multipass Port KS1437) of the South-East Finland – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014 – 2020.
In the session also participated representatives of relevant regions (the Republic of Karelia, Pskov region, Murmansk region, Leningrad region, Arkhangelsk region), representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, representatives of regional authorities of the Russian Federation, and the EU ambassador to Russia Mr.Ederer, Ambassador of Poland to Russia Mr. Marciniak, Ambassador of Estonia to Russia Mr. Laidre, Ambassador of Finland to Russia Mr. Hautala, Ambassador of Sweden to Russia Mr. Ericson, Charge d'Affairs in Denmark to Russia Mr. Vinter, Minister Counsellor of Lithuania in the Russia Mr. Galkauskas. Session participants highly appreciated the “Multipass Port” project of of “PP of SPb MF” PLC and the contribution of the Russia-South-East Finland 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program to its implementation and development. Also during the session the participants determined the necessity of working out the project ideas for the Russia-EU cooperation programs for the period 2021-2027.
