The First Steering Group Meeting for the Project on the Reconstruction of the Marine Permanent Multilateral Russian Federation State Border Checkpoint at the Seaport Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg Was Held

On June 21, 2019, the first Project Steering Group Meeting was held during the International Innovative Forum of Public Transport SmartTRANSPORT at the facilities of the EXPOFORUM Congress and Exhibition Center of Passenger Port of St. Petersburg as the leading partner of the project for the reconstruction of the marine permanent multilateral Russian Federation State border checkpoint at the seaport Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg (hereinafter referred to as the Project). The project is being implemented under the The South-East Finland – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. The representatives of the Managing Authority of the South-East Finland – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020, the Committee for Transport of St. Petersburg, the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, FSBI “Baltic Sea Ports Administration”, the North-Western Basin Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport”, the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the Baltic Customs, the Rospotrebnadzor and the Rosselkhoznadzor for St. Petersburg, and MOBY SPL.
The information about the current state of affairs on the implementation of the project, including the publication of the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 342 “On the Conclusion of the Agreement on the Development of the Land Plot” dated May 28, 2019, and the current deadlines for the construction and installation works and the opening of the checkpoint with the completion of its reconstruction were announced during the event.
Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade” PLC plans to complete all construction works at the facility in the 3rd quarter of 2020.
